Its also beautifully recorded and engineered. Back when I worked in high end stereo sales I sold more damn $10000+ stereo systems by demoing the HDCD print of The Black Album on Adcom CD1/GFA5500 electronics trough B&W CDM-NT7s and a Pardigm Servo 15.

People would come in to the store, look at prices and scoff, then ask questions like “I don’t listen to classical or fancy jazz, why would i ever pay this much for a stereo?” and I would pull The Black Album out and say “come with me, I want you to listen to something...”

Close the listening room door, turn the volume about 1/2 w ay up (which with 550 watts per channel is REALLY FUCKING LOUD) , press play...

5-10 minutes later people would be checking their bank bal ances and/or lines of credit and deciding weather the Servo 15 looked better in black or Rosewood to match the NT7s...

I admit to blasting Pink  Floyd’s The Wall last night on my restored Cerwin Vega VS-120’s and SVS sub, through my Parasound pre/amp. It was glorious and loud. My neighbors however live in a house next door, so it wasn’t like I was driving them from the apartment building.

im at the edge of a row of houses under one roof so only have neighbours on one side... its allright

anyhoo... it’d be a crime to play the wall anything but loud regardless of time of day
